Beta season

Sixth Set

Rules

Season: 30 Oct 2026 – 30 Nov 2026

Six players, four roles, points from real ATP matches. The numbers on this page come from the season's settings.

Your team

Six players and a budget of 100.0 Seeds. Any player in the ATP top 1000 can be bought. Anyone can own anyone, but a player fits only once in a team.

Slots and the roles they play
Slot Tour week Slam week
Serve · Return · Clutch · Defense Their own role, every match
R1 Reserve Forehand
R2 Reserve Backhand
  • Tour week: a reserve comes on only when a starter gives a walkover, that is, withdraws before his match. The first walkover of the week brings on R1, the second R2; the reserve plays that slot's role until Sunday.
  • A starter who plays no tournament that week simply doesn't score. Nobody replaces him: keep an eye on your lineup.
  • Slam week: no bench. All six score, the reserves as the specialists from the table, and there are no substitutions.
  • You can swap the places of two of your players while neither is locked.

Points

In every counted match a player scores the points of his slot's role, plus win points if he wins.

Counted: main draws only, at ATP 250, ATP 500, Masters 1000, Grand Slams, ATP Finals.

A bye scores nothing.

Roles

Role points come from the match statistics of the role, divided by its k so that the roles pay about the same. Forehand, Backhand: at the Slams only.

Serve
Aces pay, double faults cost.
(aces − 0.5 × double faults) ÷ 2.4
For example: (aces 13 − 0.5 × double faults 2) ÷ 2.4 = 5.0
Return
How much he wins on the other man's serve.
max(0, % return points won − 30) ÷ 2.8
For example: max(0, return points won 42% − 30) ÷ 2.8 = 4.3
Clutch
The big points, and only those.
(break points converted + tiebreaks won) ÷ 1.1
For example: (break points converted 3 + tiebreaks won 1) ÷ 1.1 = 3.6
Defense
A role for fighters who keep digging out of trouble, not only for stars.
(break points saved + 0.5 × service games won − 0.5 × service games played) ÷ 1.2
For example: (break points saved 5 + 0.5 × service games won 10 − 0.5 × service games played 12) ÷ 1.2 = 3.3
Forehand Slams
Forehand winners, minus a share of forehand unforced errors.
max(0, forehand winners − 0.5 × forehand unforced errors) ÷ 2.9
For example: max(0, forehand winners 18 − 0.5 × forehand unforced errors 12) ÷ 2.9 = 4.1
Backhand Slams
Backhand winners, minus a share of backhand unforced errors.
max(0, backhand winners − 0.25 × backhand unforced errors) ÷ 1.5
For example: max(0, backhand winners 9 − 0.25 × backhand unforced errors 14) ÷ 1.5 = 3.7

Captain, no data, walkovers

  • Captain: all his points in a match count ×2, the win and the role.
  • The armband is fixed when his first match day of the week begins. Until then you can move it, or sell him: the new player takes his slot and the armband. After that, no new captain and no selling him until Monday.
  • No vice-captain: if your captain doesn't play that week, nobody gets ×2.
  • No statistics for the role, such as no aces recorded or no shot data at a Slam: the role scores nothing and the win points count ×1.4. A captain then gets the win ×2.8. A loss without data scores 0.
  • Walkover: the winner gets the win points only, without the role and without ×1.4.
  • Retirement during a match: the winner gets the win points, and both players get role points for the part played.
Example: your Serve player wins in R32 at ATP 500 (aces 13, double faults 2).

The lock

Each player locks on his own: from the start of his match day at his tournament until his match ends. A locked player can't be bought, sold, moved or made captain.

A Tuesday with two tournaments

Your player in Vienna plays at 15:00. Locked from 11:00, the start of play there, until his match ends at 17:10.

Your player in Basel has no match today. Open all day.

  • The match day starts with the first scheduled match at his tournament, local time.
  • Players without a match that day stay open, so tournaments of the same week never block each other.
  • A postponed match keeps him locked until it is over.
  • His points go to the teams that have him when his match day begins.
  • Your first lineup may include locked players: their match that day doesn't count for your new team, their next ones do.

Transfers

  • Replace a player in one go: he is sold and the new one takes his place, and his armband if he was the captain.
  • Or sell first: the money goes to the bank and his place stays empty until you buy a player for it. An empty place scores nothing, and reserves don't fill it. A sold captain leaves the team without one until you choose another.
  • Buying a player is what counts as a transfer; a sale on its own costs nothing.
2
free transfers a week
4
at most in hand: unused free transfers carry over
−8
points for each transfer beyond them
  • The week runs from Monday to Sunday, UTC.
  • A player you sold can't be bought back until Monday.
  • Free market: any number of transfers, all free, buy-backs allowed:
    • until the first match day of the season begins
    • before each Grand Slam, from the end of the last counted tour match to the first match of the Slam

A player sells for what you paid plus half of his rise; after a fall, for his current price. Bought for 12.0, now 14.0: sells for 13.0. Bought for 12.0, now 10.0: sells for 10.0.

Seeds left after buying and selling stay in your bank for the next buy.

Prices

Start prices follow the ATP ranking:

Then prices follow form, not the ranking. Every Monday players are lined up by expected fantasy points per week: how often they play, times what they score in a week they play. Each price moves towards the price of the player's place in that line, by at most 10% of last week's price, though a step of 1.0 is always allowed. Nobody costs less than 1.0.

A price of 40.0 can move by up to 4.0 a week. A price of 3.0 can move by up to 1.0 a week.

Tables

  • Season: all points since the season began, minus transfer penalties.
  • Month: a calendar month, transfer penalties of that month included.
  • Week: Monday to Sunday, UTC.
  • Slam: each Grand Slam of the season has its own table: its matches only, no transfer penalties.

A match counts in the month and the week its match day begins. Equal points share a place.

When points are final

Points appear when a match ends and stay provisional until 06:00 the next morning, tournament local time. Then they are final.

Statistics that arrive later don't count: the role scores nothing and the win counts ×1.4. A corrected winner always counts.
